I am a second-generation Vietnamese immigrant who has always been deeply influenced by the values of family, community, and resilience. Growing up in a close-knit household, I developed a strong appreciation for the support of my family which has shaped my character and aspirations. My upbringing was balanced by a love for sports, particularly baseball, which taught me the importance of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance. During high school, I shifted my focus toward making a meaningful impact in my community, dedicating my time to fostering equitable change by founding student-led organizations, spearheading impactful projects, and advocating for youth-driven initiatives to address pressing social issues in my region.
Now, as an engineering student, I aim to carry forward these values and commitments. I am inspired to blend my passion for advocacy with my technical skills to create innovative, sustainable solutions that benefit both my local community and the broader world. Guided by my family-oriented mindset and a desire to build a better future, I aspire to leave a lasting impact through engineering and social change.
