High School

In high school, I became deeply involved in my school community because I wanted to help create a more inclusive and supportive environment. I started clubs that gave students a voice and focused on issues affecting my peers and the wider community. Through these groups, I worked with others to organize events, lead projects, and create meaningful opportunities for students to get involved. These experiences shaped how I view leadership and inspired me to keep creating positive change through engineering.

Graduation

My high school graduation was a proud and memorable moment that marked the culmination of years of hard work and dedication. I graduated with honors, a testament to my commitment to academic excellence and personal growth. During the ceremony, I was humbled to receive two awards recognizing my contributions and achievements—Brian Denomme Legacy Award and Civic Leadership Award presented by Mike Morrice. These years of high school reflected not just my efforts but also the incredible support I had from my family, peers, and teachers throughout my journey.

Mental Health Club

Founder and Lead

I also founded and led my school’s first mental health group, recognizing the need to address the growing concerns around student well-being. This group aimed to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and provide a supportive environment where students felt comfortable discussing mental health. By organizing workshops, hosting open forums, and collaborating with school counselors, we created initiatives that encouraged students to prioritize their mental health and seek support when needed.

Asian Student Union

Founder and President

In high school, I founded an Asian affinity group to create a safe and welcoming space for students to connect, share experiences, and celebrate our cultural identities. My goal was to foster a sense of belonging and community among students while addressing the unique challenges we faced. Through events, discussions, and collaborative initiatives, the group became a platform for empowerment, understanding, and unity within our school.

Model UN/FED-PROV

During high school, I was actively involved in Model United Nations (MUN) and the Federal Provincial (Fed Prov) Youth Debate program. These experiences allowed me to sharpen my skills in public speaking, critical thinking, and diplomacy while engaging with complex global and regional issues. Through MUN, I gained a deeper understanding of international relations and collaborative problem-solving, while Fed Prov helped me explore policy-making and advocacy at a local level. Both opportunities fueled my passion for addressing challenges through thoughtful dialogue and leadership.

I was awarded the “Best Delegate” Certificate of Achievement Award in 2024 for my performance in the simulation.
