What?
Designed and built a two-player arcade-style game inspired by Subway Surfers, where one player controls the runner using a movement rack while the other physically moves obstacles for the runner to dodge.
How?
- Designed the game around a physical two-player interaction system
- Built a player movement rack that allowed the runner to dodge obstacles manually
- Created a physical obstacle system controlled by a second player
- Designed the gameplay so one player focuses on movement while the other creates the challenge
- Planned a future servo-driven obstacle switching mechanism to automate obstacle movement
- Tested and refined the physical movement system to improve playability and responsiveness
Result
- Delivered a functional two-player arcade game with interactive physical controls
- Created an engaging gameplay loop based on dodging manually controlled obstacles
- Demonstrated skills in mechanical design, user interaction, prototyping, and physical game design
- Established a strong foundation for future automation through servo-controlled obstacle switching
